All visitors arriving in the country with a valid tourism visa must provide evidence of a full course of one the four vaccines currently recognized: two doses of the Oxford/Astra Zeneca, Pfizer/BioNTech or Moderna vaccines or a single dose of the vaccine produced by Johnson and Johnson.Guests who have completed two doses of the Sinopharm or Sinovac vaccines will be accepted if they have received an additional dose of one of the four vaccines approved in the Kingdom.

COVID-19 testing requirements
Test type

Visitors from the United Kingdom must present a negative RT-PCR (NAAT) test taken 72 hours before departing to Saudi Arabia.

Details and exceptions

Upon entry to Saudi Arabia, all travelers, including Saudi Arabians (except children who are 8 years old and below) are required to undergo two (2) PCR tests. The first test must be taken within 24 hours on arrival and the second test must be on the 7th day from the date of entry to the country.

Quarantine requirements

Unvaccinated visitors from the United Kingdom will need to quarantine for 7 days upon entering Saudi Arabia.

Fully vaccinated visitors with approved vaccination certificates do not need to quarantine.

Details and exceptions

Travelers are required to complete a 7-day institutional quarantine at their own expense at the institutional quarantine facilities.

Saudi Arabians and their family members, diplomats, and vaccinated individuals ( must have been completed 14 days prior to travel) are exempt from the 7-day institutional quarantine requirement. However, they are required to quarantine at home for 7 days.

Travelers from any country where the new strain of COVID-19 is spreading must self-isolate for 14 days from the date of entry and take 2 COVID-19 PCR tests. The first must be taken within 48 hours after their arrival and another on day 13 of quarantine.

Non-Saudi nationals holding Tourist Visas are allowed to enter the Kingdom during COVID-19 pandemic if they completed the required doses of one of the COVID-19 vaccines approved by Saudi Ministry of Health and have successfully registered on the "Arrival Registration" Platform.

COVID-19 testing requirements
Test type

Travellers returning from Saudi Arabia must present a negative RT-PCR (NAAT) or Antigen (quick-test) test taken 72 hours before departure to the United Kingdom.

Details and exceptions

Travelers are required to present a negative COVID-19 test (a PCR test, a LAMP test or an antigen test, such as an LFD (lateral flow device) test) taken any time in the 3 days before the departure date. If a traveler is changing flight, the test should be taken in the 3 days of the final departure point to UK.

The test result must be in either English, French or Spanish. Translations will not be accepted.

Travelers could be fined £500 if they are unable to present a pre-departure test.

Travelers from the Common Travel Area (the UK, Ireland, Isle of Man, Jersey, Guernsey, Ascension, Falkland Islands and St Helena) and children who are 0-10 years old going to England (0-11 years old for children going to Wales, Scotland and NI) are exempt from the pre-departure testing requirement.

Quarantine requirements

Unvaccinated visitors returning from Saudi Arabia will need to quarantine for 10 days upon entering the United Kingdom.

Fully vaccinated visitors with approved vaccination certificates do not need to quarantine.

Details and exceptions

All travelers including vaccinated individuals who are mandated to quarantine in a managed hotel must be administered with day 2 and day 8 test. They will be required to continue their quarantine period regardless of the result of their day 2 test. For travelers who have positive result, quarantine will start from the date after the result of their day 2 test and they no longer need to use the day 8 test.

For travelers who will have a positive result after using the day 8 test, they will need to quarantine further. They will have to finish the quarantine starting from the date after the result of their day 8 test.

Travelers who have both negative result for day 2 and day 8 test will be out of the 10-day quarantine from the day they arrived in the country.

Travelers going to Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are advised to check further details regarding their quarantine.
