Croatia entry details and exceptions

Travelers may enter Croatia but will be required to meet one of the exemptions:

Persons who travel for tourist reasons and have a certificate of paid accommodation in a hotel, camp, private renter or rented vessel, and another form of tourist accommodation or are owners of houses or vessels in the Republic of Croatia.

Citizens of EU/EEA member states as well as members of their families;

Healthcare workers, health researchers, and caregivers for the elderly;

Travelers in transit, with the obligation to leave the Republic of Croatia a maximum of 12 hours from entering;

Persons traveling for necessary personal/family or business reasons, or who have other economic interests;

There is a limit in the validity of your covid vaccine. If your last dose of vaccination was more than 270 days ago,You'll have to abide by the country's unvaccinated traveler rules.

COVID-19 testing requirements
Test type

Unvaccinated visitors from the United Kingdom must present a negative RT-PCR (NAAT) or Antigen (quick-test) test taken 72 for RT-PCR (NAAT) and 48 Antigen (quick-test) hours before departing to Croatia.

Fully vaccinated visitors with approved vaccination certificates do not need to present a negative COVID-19 test.

Details and exceptions

Children 0-12 years old accompanied by a parent / guardian are exempted from presenting a negative test result or self-isolation provided that their parent/guardian presents a negative test result, or has a certificate of vaccination or recovery from COVID-19.

A person is recognized vaccinated if he/she has been administered with vaccines approved in the European Union. Administration of 2 doses should have been completed not older than 270 days. Single dose COVID-19 vaccine should have been injected not older than 270 days. After 22 to 42 days from the completion of administration of their vaccine, vaccinated individuals may enter Croatia.

Individuals who recovered from COVID-19 may present their test result taken 270 days ago and should be older than 11 days (total of 281 days). They may also present their medical certificate in case they no longer have the result of their positive test result.

Quarantine requirements

Visitors from the United Kingdom are not required to quarantine after entering Croatia.

Details and exceptions

Travelers who are unable to present an EU Digital COVID Certificate or other certificates with similar data as the EU Digital COVID Certificate are required to self-isolate for 10 days until they provide a negative PCR test result.

COVID-19 testing requirements
Test type

Unvaccinated travellers returning from Croatia must present a negative RT-PCR (NAAT) or Antigen (quick-test) test taken 72 hours before departure to the United Kingdom.

Fully vaccinated travellers with approved vaccination certificates do not need to present a negative COVID-19 test.

Details and exceptions

Qualified fully vaccinated travelers are not required to present a pre-departure test when traveling to England. However, they are still required to book and pay for a day 2 COVID-19 test which will be taken on or before day 2 after arrival in the country. An individual traveling to the country is considered fully vaccinated if he/she meets the qualification indicated here.

Travelers who are unvaccinated, partially vaccinated or those who are not qualified under the fully vaccinated rules are required to present a pre-departure test (to be taken any time in the 3 days before the departure date), day 2 and day 8 PCR tests. They may check the pricelist and order the test thru these authorized testing providers.

Travelers could be fined £500 if they are unable to present a pre-departure test.

Travelers from the Common Travel Area (the UK, Ireland, Isle of Man, Jersey, Guernsey, Ascension, Falkland Islands and St Helena) are exempt from the test requirement.

Quarantine requirements

Unvaccinated visitors returning from Croatia will need to quarantine for 10 days upon entering the United Kingdom.

Fully vaccinated visitors with approved vaccination certificates do not need to quarantine.

Details and exceptions

Travelers who are unvaccinated, partially vaccinated or those who are not qualified under the fully vaccinated rules arriving from non-red list countries are required to quarantine at home or in the place they are staying for 10 days.

Permitted travelers from the red list countries are mandated to quarantine in a managed hotel. They must be administered with day 2 and day 8 test. They will be required to continue their quarantine period regardless of the result of their day 2 test. For travelers who have positive result, quarantine will start from the date after the result of their day 2 test and they no longer need to use the day 8 test.

For travelers who will have a positive result after using the day 8 test, they will need to quarantine further. They will have to finish the quarantine starting from the date after the result of their day 8 test.

Travelers who have both negative result for day 2 and day 8 test will be out of the 10-day quarantine from the day they arrived in the country.

Travelers going to Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are advised to check further details regarding their quarantine requirement.
