Fully vaccinated visitors from the United Kingdom can enter Greenland without restrictions.

Greenland entry details and exceptions

Only the following persons can travel to Greenland:

Fully vaccinated passengers 18 years and older 2 vaccine shots, only Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson and Johnson or AstraZeneca; Persons that have previously been infected with COVID19 18 years and older, able to show proof of a positive PCR test result that is at least 14 days old, but no more than 12 weeks old, at the time of travel; passengers with residence in Greenland; passengers with residence outside Greenland from 2 to 17 years old; infants less than 2 years old; All passengers 2 years and older, need to show a negative PCR test taken in a Nordic country DK, SE, NO, FI, FO or IS less than 48h old at time of check in.

A medical or FFP2 face mask is mandatory for airports and flights,A fully vaccinated person is in this case a person who has received both Covid-19 vaccinations and you must be fully vaccinated 14 days prior to departure to Greenland. Greenland accepts people who have a combination of Covid vaccines.

COVID-19 testing requirements
Test type

Unvaccinated visitors from the United Kingdom must present a negative RT-PCR (NAAT) test taken 72 hours before departing to Greenland.

Fully vaccinated visitors with approved vaccination certificates do not need to present a negative COVID-19 test.

Details and exceptions

Citizens of the Danish Realm (Denmark, Faroe Islands, and Greenland) can take a FREE test. Go to the test center outside the Arrival Hall (look for the signs) and line up for a PCR test. The result will be ready after 24 hours.ONLY tests from Nordic countries are accepted.

Quarantine requirements

Unvaccinated visitors from the United Kingdom will need to quarantine for 5 days upon entering Greenland.

Fully vaccinated visitors with approved vaccination certificates do not need to quarantine.

Children over 2 years of age must be quarantined unless they have been vaccinated.

COVID-19 testing requirements
Test type

Unvaccinated travellers returning from Greenland must present a negative RT-PCR (NAAT) or Antigen (quick-test) test taken 72 hours before departure to the United Kingdom.

Fully vaccinated travellers with approved vaccination certificates do not need to present a negative COVID-19 test.

Details and exceptions

Qualified fully vaccinated travelers are not required to present a pre-departure test when traveling to England. However, they are still required to book and pay for a day 2 COVID-19 test which will be taken on or before day 2 after arrival in the country. An individual traveling to the country is considered fully vaccinated if he/she meets the qualification indicated here.

Travelers who are unvaccinated, partially vaccinated or those who are not qualified under the fully vaccinated rules are required to present a pre-departure test (to be taken any time in the 3 days before the departure date), day 2 and day 8 PCR tests. They may check the pricelist and order the test thru these authorized testing providers.

Travelers could be fined £500 if they are unable to present a pre-departure test.

Travelers from the Common Travel Area (the UK, Ireland, Isle of Man, Jersey, Guernsey, Ascension, Falkland Islands and St Helena) are exempt from the test requirement.

Quarantine requirements

Unvaccinated visitors returning from Greenland will need to quarantine for 10 days upon entering the United Kingdom.

Fully vaccinated visitors with approved vaccination certificates do not need to quarantine.

Details and exceptions

Travelers who are unvaccinated, partially vaccinated or those who are not qualified under the fully vaccinated rules arriving from non-red list countries are required to quarantine at home or in the place they are staying for 10 days.

Permitted travelers from the red list countries are mandated to quarantine in a managed hotel. They must be administered with day 2 and day 8 test. They will be required to continue their quarantine period regardless of the result of their day 2 test. For travelers who have positive result, quarantine will start from the date after the result of their day 2 test and they no longer need to use the day 8 test.

For travelers who will have a positive result after using the day 8 test, they will need to quarantine further. They will have to finish the quarantine starting from the date after the result of their day 8 test.

Travelers who have both negative result for day 2 and day 8 test will be out of the 10-day quarantine from the day they arrived in the country.

Travelers going to Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are advised to check further details regarding their quarantine requirement.
