Fully vaccinated visitors from the United Kingdom can enter Lithuania without restrictions.

Lithuania entry details and exceptions

Unvaccinated travelers and those not fully vaccinated are not allowed to enter Lithuania.

Fully vaccinated travelers, Lithuanian citizens, legal residents, and their partners and close relatives, National visa holders and Travelers covered under international treaties, their close relatives as well as their staff, members of official delegations are exempted from this restriction.

COVID-19 testing requirements
Test type

Unvaccinated visitors from the United Kingdom must present a negative RT-PCR (NAAT) or Antigen (quick-test) test taken 72 for RT-PCR (NAAT) and 48 Antigen (quick-test) hours before departing to Lithuania.

Fully vaccinated visitors with approved vaccination certificates do not need to present a negative COVID-19 test.

Details and exceptions

Requirement does not apply to vaccinated travelers with the proper vaccine documentation, travelers who recovered with a confirmed positive PCR test and no more than 180 days elapsed from the positive test result before arrival, travelers under the age of 16, travelers in transit and travelers with humanitarian reasons they must instead take a test on arrival.

Quarantine requirements

Unvaccinated visitors from the United Kingdom will need to quarantine for 10 days upon entering Lithuania.

Fully vaccinated visitors with approved vaccination certificates do not need to quarantine.

The isolation period can be shortened

Travelers may take a test on day 7 and end quarantine earlier with negative test results.

Unvaccinated travelers are required to self-quarantine for 10 days on arrival. Fully vaccinated travelers and travelers with valid proof of recovery from COVID-19 are exempted from this requirement.

COVID-19 testing requirements
Test type

Unvaccinated travellers returning from Lithuania must present a negative RT-PCR (NAAT) or Antigen (quick-test) test taken 72 hours before departure to the United Kingdom.

Fully vaccinated travellers with approved vaccination certificates do not need to present a negative COVID-19 test.

Details and exceptions

Qualified fully vaccinated travelers are not required to present a pre-departure test when traveling to England. However, they are still required to book and pay for a day 2 COVID-19 test which will be taken on or before day 2 after arrival in the country. An individual traveling to the country is considered fully vaccinated if he/she meets the qualification indicated here.

Travelers who are unvaccinated, partially vaccinated or those who are not qualified under the fully vaccinated rules are required to present a pre-departure test (to be taken any time in the 3 days before the departure date), day 2 and day 8 PCR tests. They may check the pricelist and order the test thru these authorized testing providers.

Travelers could be fined £500 if they are unable to present a pre-departure test.

Travelers from the Common Travel Area (the UK, Ireland, Isle of Man, Jersey, Guernsey, Ascension, Falkland Islands and St Helena) are exempt from the test requirement.

Quarantine requirements

Unvaccinated visitors returning from Lithuania will need to quarantine for 10 days upon entering the United Kingdom.

Fully vaccinated visitors with approved vaccination certificates do not need to quarantine.

Details and exceptions

Travelers who are unvaccinated, partially vaccinated or those who are not qualified under the fully vaccinated rules arriving from non-red list countries are required to quarantine at home or in the place they are staying for 10 days.

Permitted travelers from the red list countries are mandated to quarantine in a managed hotel. They must be administered with day 2 and day 8 test. They will be required to continue their quarantine period regardless of the result of their day 2 test. For travelers who have positive result, quarantine will start from the date after the result of their day 2 test and they no longer need to use the day 8 test.

For travelers who will have a positive result after using the day 8 test, they will need to quarantine further. They will have to finish the quarantine starting from the date after the result of their day 8 test.

Travelers who have both negative result for day 2 and day 8 test will be out of the 10-day quarantine from the day they arrived in the country.

Travelers going to Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are advised to check further details regarding their quarantine.
