Foreign nationals who wish to travel to Myanmar by relief or special flights due to urgent official missions or compelling reasons, are asked to contact Myanmar mission for possible exception to certain visa restrictions.
Visitors from the United Kingdom must present a negative RT-PCR (NAAT) test taken 72 hours before departing to Myanmar.
Aside from presenting a negative PCR Test, all travelers who are granted permission to enter Myanmar will undergo a temperature check upon arrival.
Visitors from the United Kingdom will need to quarantine for 7 days upon entering Myanmar.
Complete 7 days home quarantine prior to the date of travel. Complete 7 days quarantine in a government facility or government approved hotel on arrival in Myanmar (allocated on arrival). Undertake a COVID-19 test after 7 days (at own expense). If the test is negative, complete another 7 days of home quarantine.
Travelers are tested for COVID-19 on days 3 and 7 of the quarantine period. They must cover the costs of the PCR tests themselves. Anyone with a positive result will be isolated and taken to a health facility.
Travellers returning from Myanmar must present a negative RT-PCR (NAAT) or Antigen (quick-test) test taken 72 hours before departure to the United Kingdom.
Travelers are required to present a negative COVID-19 test (a PCR test, a LAMP test or an antigen test, such as an LFD (lateral flow device) test) taken any time in the 3 days before the departure date. If a traveler is changing flight, the test should be taken in the 3 days of the final departure point to UK.
The test result must be in either English, French or Spanish. Translations will not be accepted.
Travelers could be fined £500 if they are unable to present a pre-departure test.
Travelers from the Common Travel Area (the UK, Ireland, Isle of Man, Jersey, Guernsey, Ascension, Falkland Islands and St Helena) and children who are 0-10 years old going to England (0-11 years old for children going to Wales, Scotland and NI) are exempt from the pre-departure testing requirement.
Visitors returning from Myanmar will need to quarantine for 10 days upon entering the United Kingdom.
All travelers including vaccinated individuals who are mandated to quarantine in a managed hotel must be administered with day 2 and day 8 test. They will be required to continue their quarantine period regardless of the result of their day 2 test. For travelers who have positive result, quarantine will start from the date after the result of their day 2 test and they no longer need to use the day 8 test.
For travelers who will have a positive result after using the day 8 test, they will need to quarantine further. They will have to finish the quarantine starting from the date after the result of their day 8 test.
Travelers who have both negative result for day 2 and day 8 test will be out of the 10-day quarantine from the day they arrived in the country.
Travelers going to Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are advised to check further details regarding their quarantine.
Submit the form any time in the 48 hours before arriving in the UK. Show the form when checking in your plane, train or ferry to the UK.
All travelers arriving directly to Scotland are required to book their Managed Quarantine Package prior to travel.
Most foreign visitors from the United Kingdom will not be allowed to enter Myanmar. Please check the official guidelines from Myanmar for permitted groups and exceptions to the entry restrictions.
Fully vaccinated visitors from the United Kingdom will not be allowed to enter Myanmar.
Unvaccinated visitors from the United Kingdom will not be allowed to enter Myanmar.
